In
honour of the Year of the Dog, an animal synonymous with luck and good fortune, London's Regent Street will be celebrating Chinese New Year with a nod to the ancient tradition of
Wishing Trees.
Regent Street will become home to a beautiful Bonsai tree and traditional Chinese lanterns, brightening up the otherwise grey February days with bright and bold decorations from 16th – 18th February 2018. Located just off Regent Street on Glasshouse Street, the tree will be ornately adorned in homage to this age-old Chinese celebration.
This Wishing Tree will aim to
offer a moment of spectacular beauty for visitors to the street, giving pause
for reflection as we embark on a fresh new year. There will also be a host of
offers and experiences available within retailers and restaurants across the
length and breadth of the street, ensuring this new year visitors can
participate in “Bainian 拜年” - the traditional gifting of friends
and family.Regent Street will become home to a beautiful Bonsai tree and traditional Chinese lanterns, brightening up the otherwise grey February days with bright and bold decorations from 16th – 18th February 2018. Longchamp has teamed up with
Tao Liang, aka ‘Mr. Bags’, one of China’s most influential fashion bloggers to
create accessories in honour of the new year, whilst Michael Kors will be offering
complimentary treats in their Regent Street store (no purchase necessary!) as
well as an exclusive Lunar New Year collection.
Italian luxury will also be
available in spades courtesy of Furla who have designed a special Chinese New
Year window and delightful red packets to offer to shoppers. Links of London
have created a beautiful sterling silver and black ruthenium Chinese New Year
Keepsakes Bulldog Charm.
Whether you plan on treating yourself, or your loved
ones, there will be enough for everyone to feel suitably spoiled on Regent Street this
Chinese New Year.
