New Fashion Collaboration - Motel x GRACE NEUTRAL

November 2015 sees the launch of the new "Motel x GRACE NEUTRAL" collection at Motelrocks.com. Designed in collaboration with tattoo artist, social media phenomenon and alternative style icon Grace Neutral, the range comprises an edit of directional silhouettes and form fitting separates that reflect Grace's personal style and appeal to the tastes of the rebellious fashion-loving Motel customers.

With her anime-esque tattooed eyeballs, forked tongue and pointed pixie ears, Grace's unique and otherwordly beauty, portrays her desire to express herself in her own way. Grace began tattooing professionally in 2012, and it was a natural progression from her previous role as a body piercer. Coming from a family of artists and with a passion in drawing and design, Grace combined her love of drawing and tattoos and decided to try hand-poke tattooing. In a short space of time, Grace's profile rose both for her tattoing and her personal style, i-D dubbed her a "tattoo covered alien princess", whilst the Metro newspaper praised her body modifications in highlighting the beauty in being different. The collaboration with Motel was a natural fit for both parties, as Motel is a vintage-inspired, independent label that prides itself on being the "alternative choice" - a trend leader that carves its own distinct path across the fashion landscape.

The Motel x GRACE NEUTRAL offers a capsule collection of easy-to-wear styles, featuring an intricate hand-drawn mandala design and muted monochrome colour palette. The range reflects Grace's individual style and offers a variety of shapes, including cut-out body con dresses, oversized relaxed fit tees, 90's-inspired slip dresses, and printed cotton tote bags for a versatile offering of dusk-to-dawn wardrobe solutions. Key styles in the range include the longline Kato Grace Kimono, a versatile lightweight layer that is perfect for trans-seasonal styling, whist the stand out silhouette in the collection is the striking Wilma dress. This super tight mini dress features cut out panels and metal work detail, offering a bold after-dark look.

The arresting campaign was shot on location in East London, and features Grace in her natural habitat on Brick Lane, and outside the Kids Love Ink tattoo parlour, where she can be found tattooing her regular clientele in her signature hand poke style!
