Fashion Gem - Oliver Spencer

 


Oliver Spencer is a modern British lifestyle brand that blends the traditions of classic tailoring with the relaxed aesthetic of contemporary menswear. Founded in 2002 by designer Oliver Spencer, the brand was born out of a desire to create a new kind of clothing—one that bridges the gap between streetwear and traditional tailoring, offering smart, versatile pieces that suit the rhythm of modern life.

Before launching the Oliver Spencer label, Spencer made his mark with the success of Favourbrook, a distinguished formalwear brand known for its luxurious menswear and womenswear collections. With boutiques located on Pall Mall and in Piccadilly Arcade in London’s prestigious West End, Favourbrook quickly became a destination for discerning customers looking for beautifully crafted occasionwear.

Fashion Designer - Chloe Baines


Chloe Baines is an eponymous fashion brand established in London and created by Coventry born fashion designer, Chloe Baines. Baines’ interest and career in luxury and experimental fashion began at Coventry University, where she completed an Art and Design foundation course. It was there that Chloe Baines began to make conceptual fashion films, using found materials to create looks that were featured in her work. 

Fashion Designer - ASCIARI


Asciari's objective is to create a distinct and timeless style, based on precise aesthetic and cultural standards. As in the archaic Sicilian origin of the word, "to search, to gather, to create a meeting", Asciari conveys its essential and pure demi-couture aesthetics, unveiling itself through finest materials and a particular attention to details.

A heritage of values deeply rooted in the founders: one brother and one sister, Pietro and Federica and their mother Marta. Since always passionate about fine fabrics and tailoring, they have eventually turned this creativity drive concrete with Asciari. Federica, designer of the brand along with the support of Marta, has the artistic direction while Pietro is involved with marketing and external relations.

Fashion Gem - Bora Aksu

 
London based Turkish designer Bora Aksu received his first acclaim when he graduated from Central St Martin's MA in 2002. Hailed as ‘the star of the show' by The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Independent, Bora's collection also attracted the eye of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna who purchased pieces to use as inspiration.

His debut off-schedule show took place at London Fashion Week in February 2003. A resounding success his debut was named ‘one of the top five shows' by The Guardian and subsequently led Aksu to receive the New Generation Award placing him on the official London Fashion Week schedule the very next season. In total, four consecutive New Generation Awards were given to Bora who remains on the official London Fashion Week schedule.

Fashion Designer - Eudon Choi


Born in Korea, Eudon Choi initially trained as a menswear designer in Seoul where he acquired an in-depth knowledge of tailoring techniques and a great eye for detail. He then moved to London, where he graduated from the Royal College of Art's MA in womenswear in 2006.

Taking inspiration from art, architecture and historical figures, Eudon effortlessly combines masculine tailoring with a feminine sensibility. Focusing particularly on menswear detailing, he extracts the essence and aesthetic beauty he uncovers and reworks it. He aims to create garments that adapt to an individual's personality and marry into their wardrobe, offering something unique, understated and intellectual.


Fashion Designer - Anne Karine Thorbjørnsen


Anne Karine Thorbjørnsen launched her eponymous fashion practice after graduating from Central Saint Martins MA in 2012, where she was awarded the Armani Scholarship under the late Professor Louise Wilson OBE. She has presented collections both on-/off-schedule LFW, PWF and Oslo Runway as well as exhibited at Center For Style/Melbourne, Diorama/Oslo and Amaze/Stockholm. 

Fashion Designer - OSMAN


OSMAN, the eponymous label from London-based Osman Yousefzada, made its debut in 2007.  Deeply rooted in the creative worlds of both art and fashion, Osman’s unique architectural aesthetic and strong, sculptural designs both flatter and celebrate the woman’s body, qualities which have established the designer as one of London’s most exciting talents.

British born Osman Yousefzada studied at Central Saint Martin’s before going on to launch his own label, which soon after was nominated for the annual Designs of the Year award (2007) at the Design Museum, which features the best 100 designs internationally, selected from all design disciplines.

British Fashion Gem - Amanda Wakeley


Amanda Wakeley is the iconic London-based luxury fashion label. Founded in 1990, the brand captures the essence of Amanda’s European lifestyle and is reflected in her aesthetic vision of clean lines, impeccable cut, fit and effortlessly sexy glamour. She is an established favourite of some of the most stylish women in the world, beginning with the late Diana, Princess of Wales and more recently seen on Amber Heard, Zoe Saldana, Katherine Heigl, Scarlett Johansson and the eternally chic Angelina Jolie. 

Fashion Designer - Vjera V



Vjera V is a soul stitched high-end Womenswear brand. Creative Director, Vjera Viliclik is Croatian born and London based. She trained at Ecole Lesage in Paris in haute couture embroidery, a concept that can clearly be seen throughout her collections. The embellished pieces are hand prepared in the London studio, with Swarovski crystals, pearls and beads.

Having launched the brand in 2016, Vjera V is a label that has gone from strength to strength with their girly designs having received coverage across the likes of publications such as ELLE France, Cosmopolitan UK, Stella magazine and Hello magazine to name a few.  The brand is now available in a number of Stockists including Wolf and Badger London and New York and some boutiques in Dubai.

Womenswear - We are Kindred


We are Kindred's story begins with two sisters and a single vision. Established in 2013 by siblings, best friends, and kindreds, Lizzie and Georgie Renkert, the Australian label is a celebration of sexy feminism. 

Drawing from over 30 years of collective experience in the fashion industry across magazine editing, design, buying and development, the sisters' deep respect for one another's individual aesthetic informs an offering of effortless modern luxury – with a touch of bohemia.

Fashion Gem - Wanbing Huang


Wanbing Huang is a London based womenswear fashion designer. She launched her eponymous label in October 2016 at emerging designers showcase platform Labelhood during Shanghai Fashion Week and soon gained traction from both the Chinese and international fashion audience.

Her 2017 Spring/Summer debut collection "Chaotic Order" was heavily influenced by the Belgian film director Oliver Smolders' short film "Seuls". She used horsetail hair, 3D embroidery, ancient weaving technique and innovative ring lacing to mimic the subtle emotional upheaval of a suffering autistic child. 

Fashion Designer - Xinye Jiang


Xinye Jiang is an established and creative designer who graduated from Parsons, The New School of Design in New York City. She studied in New York for almost five years and then moved to Paris, eventually creating her eponymous brand, Xinye Jiang. The brand was registered in New York City in 2017.

Vinti Andrews is a London based brand, from a collaboration between Vinti Tan and Paul Andrews. Both designers share the same influences of British culture and the global music scene, to curate a contemporary brand that flaunts innovation and originality. 

Each collection is designed for the au courant fashion conscious individual and garments reflect a unique expression of texture and colour through an interesting art form.

Jewellery Designer - Alighieri


London-based, Rosh Mahtani studied French and Italian at Oxford University. Upon graduating in 2012, she was inspired to create modern heirlooms, born from the literature she had studied: Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy,” in particular.

After graduating she spent two years interning at Harper’s Bazaar, luxury travel company Mr. & Mrs. Smith and working as a Visual Merchandiser at Avenue32.com; all the while, dreaming of her collection, and creating it by night. With no formal training and a vehement obsession with the idea of melancholy and imperfection, Alighieri was officially launched in 2014.

Fashion Gem - Alistair James


Alistair James is the eponymously named label of design duo Nicholas Alistair Walsh and David James Wise.

From their South London studio, the pair are focused on fable, whimsy and alluring textiles. Exploring an English sensibility, evoking characters in a balance of craft and consideration. Nicholas is a womenswear designer, born and raised in West Yorkshire. 

Luxury Shoe Designer - Alexander White


Luxury shoe brand Alexander White offers chic and elegant shoes with a playful, youthful twist. Each shoe is designed in London and passionately handmade by skilled artisans on the outskirts of Florence, Italy. 

As a designer, Alexander is influenced by his surroundings, from architecture to antique jewellery, these influences are then interpreted in a modern and energetic way. The belief that a beautiful pair of shoes changes the way a woman presents herself to the world is what drives the design process and commitment to make women feel special. 

Fashion Designer - Antonio Berardi


Born in the UK to Sicilian parents, Antonio Berardi studied at London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design while working as John Galliano’s assistant. His final year collection in 1994 created a splash, attracting the attention of key London buyers including those from Liberty and A La Mode.  He launched his first professional collection the following season.  

Berardi quickly learnt the skills of the design trade, the techniques of clothing construction and manufacture, and how to succeed in business. He was determined to make his business independent so that his reputation would never depend on outside investors. Today he is one of the very few internationally influential designers operating a completely autonomous company.
