Fashion Event - LDC x Westfield London Pop-Up Retail Experience

Putting human connection and storytelling back at retail's centre, Lone Design Club (LDC) has partnered with Westfield London, to launch the LDC X Westfield London pop-up retail experience.

Designed to empower independent and sustainable designers to engage directly with a new audience, highlighting the exceptional talent of a new generation of artisans and makers pushing the boundaries of sustainability. Trailblazing new production methods and integrating technology into all areas of their business really paving the way for a greener future.

'Soho Music Month' Event

Highlighting some of the best in established and emerging talent that London has to offer, you can expect a hot line up of free live music, workshops and live broadcasting. 

Head down to the free-entry Soho Music Month hub and exhibition space, ‘PLATFORM LDN’ at 3 Carnaby Street for a variety of free events; think a Reprezent Radio residency with live broadcasts, a panel event with GRM Daily, and exclusive book signings with legendary DJ Jumping Jack Frost and BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s DJ Target, to name a few. 

Get on your dancing shoes. Every Thursday evening throughout the month of June, you can join in for ‘The Newburgh Quarter Sessions’, a series of free outdoor gigs dedicated to showcasing the diversity of the London music scene. You can join under ‘The Plug’ on Foubert’s Place in the Newburgh Quarter from 5-9pm for the hottest new upcoming talent and sunshine.

Make it British Live!

Taking place at The Old Truman Brewery in East London on 23 and 24 May 2018, "Make it British Live!" is an annual business to business show, with over 200 exhibitors. Exhibitors range from garment manufacturers to sample makers, textile mills to trimmings, fabric printers to machinery providers. 

If you are looking to manufacture a product in the UK, you will find all of the suppliers here that you need. If you want to discover new and exciting British-made brands with  ready-made collections, you can find everything from handbags to gifts, as well as menswear, womenswear, and childrenwear labels. Ted Baker Launches Pop-Up Store in Old Street Station

Opening its doors in Old Street station, this latest pop-up will showcase pieces from TedBaker's 'Colour By Numbers' collection against opalescent panels inspired by a contemporary art gallery.

The label's capsule collection - composed of timeless patterns with a modern twist including unstructured pin-striped suiting, fly fish print pieces and striped knitted dresses and tops - will be available to buy and includes a special gift with every purchase.

Event - Chinese New Year On Regent Street

In honour of the Year of the Dog, an animal synonymous with luck and good fortune, London's Regent Street will be celebrating Chinese New Year with a nod to the ancient tradition of Wishing Trees.

Regent Street will become home to a beautiful Bonsai tree and traditional Chinese lanterns, brightening up the otherwise grey February days with bright and bold decorations from 16th – 18th February 2018. Located just off Regent Street on Glasshouse Street, the tree will be ornately adorned in homage to this age-old Chinese celebration.

Fashion Event - M.C. Overalls comes to Carnaby

Say hello to your new favourite wardrobe essential: overalls. Visit M.C. Overalls at their new store in the Newburgh Quarter, at 14a Newburgh Street, for a staple range of timeless pieces: a uniform for the contemporary worker.

Dating back to 1908, the brand was founded by three friends who taught themselves the art of tailoring and went on to clothe factory workers. 

Event - Guitarwrist comes to the Newburgh Quarter

Discover guitarwrist, 2 Newburgh Street, a non-for-profit jewellery collection created by used guitar strings from internaitonal artists, open until the New Year. Soon you could be wearing a unique piece from the guitar strings of Stereophonics, Duran Duran or Pendulum.

The jewellery collection of bracelets, rings and necklaces are designed by Emma and Kitty Hedley and are dedicated to raising funds for charity from the sales. 

Karen Millen SS18 Press Day

In an exclusive preview to the British Press Media, Karen Millen showcased its new Spring Summer 2018 (SS18) collection. Hosted in one of London's most exclusive penthouses overlooking Covent Garden, we had the opportunity to preview the new collection before it hits the Karen Millen stores in early January 2018.

'British Fashion Volume III' Event

It was an evening of Glamour, Fashion and Beauty. Hosted by MoQueen London and presented by Dr Who actor, Sam Benjamin, at the luxurious surroundings of ‘The Dorset Hotel’ in London’s Holland Park on 21 October 2017, the ‘British Fashion Volume III London’ Event was one of British capital’s fashion happenings of the year.

During the event, guests enjoyed amazing Catwalk shows by highly selected fashion designers, and were given exclusive access to the Designers’ room, while being entertained by the music of DJ Tone Tee, sipping prosecco and enjoying the delicious canapés in the VIP lounge.

Garbstore Opens 'Garbstore.Ten' on Earlham Street

Garbstore.ten, has just opened at London’s 9 Earlham Street, to celebrate a decade of Garbstore’s eponymous British menswear label and the inspirational brands and designers they have worked with. 

The store will be open until the end of January 2018, and the space will host a number of exclusive collaborations, events and rotating exhibitions kicking off with ‘Reebok The Next Step: Running Heritage’.

Graduate Fashion Week 2017

Award winning designers receiving their Prizes during the Graduate Fashion Week Gala. 

Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) which marked its 26th anniversary this year, came to a Grant Finale in London this week, as the winners were chosen for awards that are aimed at propelling the careers of the UK's brightest fashion talent into the mainstream consciousness.

As always, the 'Christopher Bailey Gold Award' (named after its first winner in 1992) was the major one to win, and this year it was awarded to Halina North from the 'Edinburgh College of Art' for her trailblazing womenswear collection.

International Fashion Showcase 2017 winners announced

The British Council, British Fashion Council (BFC) and Mercedes-Benz announced the winners of the International Fashion Showcase, in a prize-giving ceremony at Somerset House, London. Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent and Chief Critic Vogue Runway, and Bettina Haussmann, Senior Manager Sponsoring and Product Placement Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, presented The International Fashion Showcase Designer Award to Younchan Chung of the-sirius for his impressive design showcased in the Korean installation.

Gandys - 'Orphans For Orphans'

This week saw the grand opening of the first Gandys – Orphans for Orphans – London store in Spitafields. 

In a memorable event, supported by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, guests had the opportunity to celebrate with the two brothers behind the brand (Rob and Paul) the opening of Gandys' first London store; and shop from the new AW 2016 collection, which apart from the trademark flip flops, includes a whole range of eclectic and unique explorer essentials, such as backpacks, tote bags, shirts, T-shirts, jumpers, jackets, joggers and hoodies. 

Carnaby Announces London Fashion Week

From 16-20 September 2016, you can have a reserved front row seat at the hottest fashion shows of this London Fashion Week.  You can watch live shows from the runway on the giant screen on Carnaby Street over all five days, plus, you can even star in your own catwalk with the live feed camera, capturing the ultimate street style show.

You can watch live catwalk shows from the likes of Burberry, Peter Pilotto, Topshop Unique and Roksanda on the giant screen. You can also visit the Newburgh Quarter to get Fashion Week ready.
