Selfridges' Shakespeare reFASHIONed campaign hands the mic to bold and inspirational voices from the city with Shakespeare reCITED – a series of electrifying music and art performances from today’s most compelling acts, held in collaboration with cult contemporary brands. Culminating in a highly collectible line of limited edition merchandise, available instore and online Shakespeare reCITED pays homage to the master wordsmith in a brilliantly entertaining and unique fashion.

Just as 400 years ago Shakespeare was a conduit for communication, discussing the themes and concerns of the day between the classes, grime MC Novelist (pictured) will explore how MCs and rappers are doing the same thing today. To close the evening, DJ Nov and DJ Grandmixxer will host a Boiler Room-style set.

Join south London hip-hop duo Krept & Konan in conversation with Apple Music's Beats 1 presenter Julie Adenuga, as they discuss their approach to making music and how it represents many of the themes found in the works of Shakespeare – albeit in a contemporary narrative. The evening will conclude with a unique performance from the duo and the chance to shop the limited-edition merchandise by British designer Astrid Andersen in collaboration with Krept and Konan.

LFW x reCITED: Little Simz x Caitlin Price SS17 Presentation & After-party -

22 year-old Little Simz will conclude Shakespeare reCITED. The night will be a joint celebration, as Caitlin Price celebrates LFW with a SS17 Presentation in the Designer Studio, followed by a Simz-assisted after-party. Inspired by the dramatic nature and intimate settings of classic Shakespeare plays such as Macbeth and Hamlet, Simz’ performance will be an engagingly eerie experience. Performing many of her key tracks acoustically – including the metaphor laden Dead Body, Wings, God Bless Mary and Interlude, on which she worked with Rihanna writer Bibi Bourelly, the evening will lend itself to Shakespeare in feel through interaction, engagement and conversation with the audience in an intimate, atmospheric setting
